How the West Was Won was an album released by RCA Victor Records in 1959. It was recorded in July 1959. It featured Bing Crosby, and on several tracks Rosemary Clooney as well. The backing orchestra was conducted by Bob Thompson.

In 2007 it is re-released on cd. The songs also seems to be expanded and it appears there are several versions of it. It is released by the Bear Family records (BCD-16634-AR) as a 34 song issue)
